Tooheys New, VB, Carlton Draught or Reschs Draught?
Now I will drink pretty much any beer with the exception of the obvious like Hollandia, XXXX Gold (in fact ALL light beer), Stella Artois, Bulmers
Cider and yes I can't handle Tooheys New.
But I am interested in your favourites?
My local is Reschs Draught. Though I am rather partial to the ramdom Reschs Dinner Ale also.
Premium beer would have to be Kronenberg 1664. Though I had some of the Carlsberg Christmas Special a few years back when I went to their brewery in
Copenhagen and that was pretty special I must admit.

Now off the top I will say that the limited edition Boags Honey Porter was the dopest beer I've ever had.
As for the commonly available beer Carlton Premium Dry is my favourite ish..
Resch's is pretty good.
I also don't like Tooheys New, whereas I will more than happily partake in a VB in a normal bar type environment.
Tooheys Red is some of the worst I've had the displeasure of tasting, along with Tooheys Gold, and that RedBack slop.
Also in a local establishment/brewery very close to me they make this stuff called "Scharers Lager" which i strongly believe is just the water that
they pump straight from the stagnant creek below it.

Now I'll pretty much drink any beer apart from RedBack as its the most putrid shite I've tasted. Not a fan of light beer much either, its goddamn
unaustralian to not drink full strength.
Carlton Draught would have to be my favourite then I guess a drop of the old Crown Larger, Carlton Cold, Tooheys New n I'm partial to Tooheys Extra
Dry

COOPERS RED. No preservatives or chemicals. It's the only beer i can drink when i'm coming off the end of a flu. If i have a sip of VB or any other
cheap beer i can taste the chemicals whereas coopers actually make me feel better !! It really is nectar of the gods.
Carlton Draught is good but it's really not that different from VB or MB. I like Reschs.
Cascade premium is a good drop, i've been getting into a bit of that as we've got 3 cases of it at work.
Crown Lager, Boags, hahn premium, Peroni....there are loads of beer that are good to try. I just like trying a shitload of new beers for novelty
factor.
don't drink wine or spirits so i'm pretty much a beer guy.

Ooooh, indeed it does! I'm sure I'll regret this post in the morning, but my vegan friend is getting soooo off on it, me, I'm on the strawberry
champagne. Damn this pub for having the internet. Someone edit me please!
I can't wait 'til it is cold so I can get into the portagaffs.

When I was a kid I started on Strongbow... just like apple cider only if you drink enough of it... yeaaaah. Then Hahn... now I just drink VB. Never
actually ordered and paid for beer like Crown. Doesn't do anything for me. But some of those fruity beers I dig. I just never remember their name.
Maybe we should do a poll so I can get some clarity on the alternatives

Crown Lager is the shittest premium beer in Australia. It tastes stale and shitty!!! I got some good advice for drinking it the other day - wack it in
the freezer for 10 minutes and neck it as fast as you can. Also Crorona sucks ass. Becks is pretty nice, better than Heineken. James Squire Pilsener
is pretty special.

Nothing is better than a tooheys new longneck in the bag to keep it chilled. Especially when watching cricket cause you dont have to get up for a
while to get another, in which time something exciting might happen e.g. Gilly smashing 50 runs from pie kiwi bowling.
The other advantage is that you can grab two, put one in an esky and watch a half of footy while drinking both. As soon as Gus Gould puts his ugly
melon on the t.v. you can go to the fridge and get another 3 for the second half. After drinking all 5 you have knocked the edge off and can then
head to the pub. Great nights. Yet another advantage of the new long neck, well apart from the trivia questions, is that they are $10.99 for 3. Fu**en
taxes, they used to be $9.99 for 3 and they taste spectacular.
People tried to put me onto boags and all that fancy ish, is just doesnt taste as hardcore or funky as new.

haha ok so for a poll...
Carlton Cold
VB
XXXX (No queenslanders posting!)
Tooheys New
Hahn Ice
Boags
Heineken
Carlton Draught
Reschs
anyone want any others?
maybe another one:
Can
Stubby
Longneck
You know the one thing that annoys me is how all the light beers are being designed almost the same as the real beers. back a while the designs were
the opposite... like Tooheys real beer would be blue but the light version would be silver or something.
I was at a party last year where the alcohol was free and i'm drinking Hahn which I havent bought in ages so i didn't really pay attention to the
design of it. it looked like a real one.
8 or so later I'm thinking I'm pretty strong and just as they close the bar i realise I've been drinking light beers all night. whats up with that?

I just found out that I still have a full can of Tooheys 2.2 in my fridge. It's nearly as old as I am.

I can usually tell if im getting conned into drinking light beer. The full richness isnt there. Everytime my mate shouts he gets light beer for the
boys. Whatta tightarse!
I drink carlton draught at my local. I like Stellas, Asahi and Coronas when im feeling rich. Was impressed with Bavaria when i tried it at a party.
